You can officially eliminate the last spreadsheet from your team’s time management. With the Utilization report, you’ll see exactly how much of your team’s time is scheduled, available, and used efficiently.
Follow these simple steps to use the utilization report to its best advantage:
- Set up each team member’s work capacity in the Availability calendar. (You can find the detailed instructions here.)
- Go to the reports section of your Scoro site and click on Utilization report.
- Select the users and a time frame you’d like to get reporting on.
The Utilization report will give you information on how much of your team’s time has been used, planned or left unscheduled.
To get better and better at forecasting, compare your team members' workload for the next three weeks or see, how much work has been scheduled for the next quarter.
You can use the View filter which allows you to include unscheduled tasks with deadline (checked by default).
Moreover, the Utilization report is great for checking, how much time each team member has for working on specific activities or with certain clients.
You can hover on numbers with breakdown and links to see what they mean.
Plus, the Backlog (remaining unscheduled time of tasks with a deadline in the past) is displayed separately. The backlog number is clickable and takes you to the filtered task list with task deadlines earlier than current week.
Note! Only a task deadline will affect whether the task is displayed in a given period.
