No need to create a new project from scratch each time you confirm a deal with a customer. Instead, create numerous project templates based on your business model with data prefilled, and just pick a suitable one whenever needed.
Note! In case this feature is not included in your Scoro plan, you can most likely add it to your existing plan as a paid add-on. It might be worth checking out our plans and pricing to make the best choice for your business.
To create new templates, go to the Project list and click on the button Project templates.
You're taken to the template list view. Then click on + New and fill out all the relevant data.
Or start adding a new project and tick the option Save as template. Just fill out all the data you want to be prefilled when using this template in the future. Add a name for the template, select an option for the start date (for example 7 days after creating a project), estimated duration, phases, and so on.
It's also possible to link one or several task bundles to each project phase when creating project templates. This means you can save yourself some valuable time when managing similar or identical projects by predefining relevant sets of tasks already in the template.
You can also effortlessly set up a waterfall project using the Back-to-back phases toggle switch. It automatically creates finish-to-start dependencies between project phases and milestones. The length of the dependent phases can later be easily adjusted on the project Gantt chart. With the toggle off, you can define the start day of each phase and milestone manually.
Note! When adding a template this way, the project is just saved as a template, not added both to your project list and the template list.
When adding a new project, just pick a suitable template from the dropdown menu.
See how to link activities to projects.
