Scheduling tasks in Calendar
To get a full overview of your daily activities and progress right there in the Calendar, easily plan your daily or weekly activities in one view, you can add tasks and time entries to your calendar. This way you can effortlessly avoid double and overbooking, plus it's convenient to block certain time slots in your calendar to take care of important assignments.
Just click on View, then View options and tick the option Show tasks and time entries and click Display.
As a result, your assignments (tasks with a due date on that day, plus time entries scheduled for that day) are visible on each day with your daily progress.
Just click on the task count to open the preview of your list of assignments.
Simply drag and drop the task from the preview to the time slot of your liking.
Just like that, an event is created to your calendar and automatically logged under the original task as a time entry.
The original task is left untouched and it's possible to create multiple events (as time entries) from one task.
In the same way, you can easily plan time entries in your calendar. This is convenient, for example, if the project manager plans your team's time in the Planner, assigning time entries to each team member for the day (or week, etc.). The team can then easily schedule these time entries in their own calendars to organize their workday as they see fit.
When you’re finished with the assignment(s), just mark the original task as done. All the information on the work done will find its way to the Detailed work report allowing you to draw better conclusions but also bill your customer for the work done right there and then.
