Project timeline gathers all your future and in-progress projects into one visualized graph to give you the ability to zoom out and see the bigger picture. The timeline shows project durations, including their progress, in a unified timeline and makes planning future projects and managing workload easy.
1. All your projects automatically appear on your Project timeline. If you haven’t created any projects yet, they can easily be added by clicking the + New button. Read more on adding and modifying projects.
All selected projects with their start and end dates, but also deadlines are shown on the left-hand side of the table.
Clicking on the name of the project opens the project detailed view.
Clicking on the project icon opens the project modify view.
2. Each project has an individual progress bar that indicates the project start date all the way to the deadline. If the project does not have a deadline, the bar is continuous and does not end when zooming out or moving around on the timeline.
The blue color on the progress bar shows the amount of work that has already been done.
Yellow color indicates for work that’s waiting to be done.
Red color shows the work that has been overscheduled and won’t fit into the estimated project hours.
The blue dotted line stands for the current day. Clicking on the Today button will automatically move the dashed line in the center of the view.
Zoom options help to change the perspective. By clicking the zoom levels above the table, you can easily go to week, quarter or year view. Or just modify the view yourself with the help of zoom in and zoom out buttons.
3. If your project is split into project phases and milestones, their progress and durations will be displayed under each project in the timeline. Just click on the grey flag down-arrow in front of the project icon to collapse the project and open the phases/milestones row. The color of these progress bars is either blue or gray – blue stands for already completed phases, grey marks the phases still in progress. This gives you a complete overview of the project’s progress, the tasks, and events under each phase and whether everything is going according to plan.
The orange diamond indicates a project Milestone. The smaller red dot, on the other hand, shows that there is an activity with a date or deadline outside a phase. For example, an event with a date or a task with a deadline before the project phase started.

4. The list of projects shown in the table can be filtered by users, statuses, project tags, date range, contacts and more. Use the Pick projects button to decide which projects are visible in the table (e.g. only active projects).

Note! In the mobile view, Project timeline works in landscape view.
To plan and manage a project in detail, open the project detailed view and easily adjust the project timeline with the help of Gantt chart.
